From Financial Platform to Homeowner Experience
A rebrand that did more than update a logo — it rewired how users perceive digital real estate by replacing intimidating financial-derivative terminology with the familiar experience of home buying.

Overview
Re-architected a unified multi-branded design system, reducing handoff cycles by 100% and enabling rapid iteration across teams. Measurable surge in onboarding and trading post-rebrand. Reframed the homepage and deal flow to focus on actionable real estate opportunities rather than abstract financial instruments. Clarity is the ultimate growth hack.
The Brief
Parcl was losing potential users to the terminology. Complex financial concepts created a learning barrier that prevented real estate investors from engaging with the platform. The hypothesis was simple and a little mischievous: swap intimidating derivative-finance concepts for a familiar real estate experience, and watch the learning curve flatten like a well-priced plot of land.
Had to maintain trust with existing power users while lowering the barrier for newcomers. The rebrand needed to work across a multi-branded design system without fragmenting coherence. Zero tolerance for ambiguity in financial language — every reframe had to be technically accurate and legally defensible.
Audited every user-facing string across the platform, identified high-friction financial terminology, and mapped each one to a real estate analogue that preserved technical accuracy while removing the learning curve.
Decisions
Tradeoffs
Accepted that some power users accustomed to the legacy vocabulary would initially find the real estate language unfamiliar. Bet that the broader audience gained would outweigh the small friction for existing users who would adapt quickly.
