Overview
The referral program turned existing traders into an organic acquisition channel. Letting users mint their own codes — tied to the aliases they already traded under — made sharing feel personal rather than transactional, and the clearer reward proposition lifted participation. Awarding boosts for unique users rather than wallets kept that growth genuine.
The Brief
Parcl's existing traders were its most underused acquisition channel. There was no referral program in place to turn them into one, and the points-based reward mechanics around sharing weren't legible enough to drive participation. Word-of-mouth growth was being left on the table.
This was a single, self-contained design — installing one referral program, not redesigning the funnel. It had to layer onto the live product without disrupting active traders, and improve comprehension of the reward mechanics without adding explanatory UI debt.
Designed and installed the referral program as one focused surface: a way for users to create their own referral code and earn points boosts by referring unique users — not unique wallets — with the reward value proposition made legible at a glance.
