Designed and shipped the early-user reward claim flow for Parcl's platform launch — built to be the best launch-moment UX in the FinTech space, with custom Framer Motion animations throughout.

Overview
Shipped in February 2024. The claim flow was widely praised within the Parcl community for its polish relative to other launch-claim experiences in the space. The animated reveal sequence became a shareable moment — users posted screen recordings of their claim flows on Twitter/X, generating organic earned media around the platform launch.
The Brief
Platform-launch reward moments are historically clunky — a raw transaction confirmation, a generic claim button, nothing that makes the moment feel earned. For Parcl's launch, we had a rare opportunity: reward early users with a moment that matched the effort they'd put in. The challenge was turning a technical reward-claim event into an experience worth remembering.
The claim window was time-boxed and couldn't slip. The flow had to work across all supported account types and handle edge cases (ineligible accounts, already-claimed, network errors) without breaking the emotional arc. Animation had to be performant on mid-range mobile hardware — we couldn't let the celebration lag.
Set a north-star: make this feel like the best launch-moment claim flow anyone in the industry has ever seen. Benchmarked the leading FinTech launch experiences to identify the ceiling, then designed past it.
Decisions
Tradeoffs
The animation-heavy approach required significantly more engineering time than a standard claim flow. Accepted that tradeoff because a platform launch is a once-in-a-lifetime brand moment — the shareability of the experience generated organic earned media that no amount of saved engineering time could have replaced.
